How To For Tax Preparer

Prosado.com is a service that connects customers who need to find a tax and accounting professional with the right one for them with a single mouse click.

There is no fee to join Prosado. Only members can bid on business from potential new customers and they appear at the top of the search results. After a customer accepts your bid or agrees on a fee Prosado will collect the payment. When both parties have marked the job complete, your fee, minus 10% (minimum $15) will be transferred into your bank account in approximately 7 days. It's a very small cost for such great potential for new business.

RFB is simply a “Request For Bid”, or in other words, customers are requesting up to four (4) eligible Tax Preparers to bid on preparing their tax return. You must be invited to bid on an RFB by a customer.

To change your bid, simply click on the “rebid” link on the “Current Invites to Bids” tab of your dashboard. Follow the prompts from there.

If any changes occur after you have placed a bid, you will receive an email containing all of the updated information. This will also appear on the "Current Invites to Bid" tab of your dashboard. You can either update your bid based on the new information or you can decline to bid again.

When any payment is made through Prosado, the tax and accounting professional earns 1 credit.  Credits can be redeemed for premium listings on the search results page.  Additionally, you don't have to worry about not being paid by a customer because we directly remit payment to you, within 7 days, after the project has been marked complete by both parties.

All customers are obligated to complete their RFB honestly. If the true complexity of the tax return is different than the RFB indicated, we suggest you speak with the customer about an additional fee to be paid directly to you.

Once a customer requests to be contacted or accepts your bid, you will be emailed all the contact information for that customer.  This information is also available on your dashboard. It is up to you to arrange obtaining all the necessary tax documents & information you need in order to complete their tax return.

Please determine your fee wisely. To maintain the integrity of our website, all bids must be honored. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your membership.

Ratings & reviews come from actual Prosado customers and those are identified as "Prosado member ratings".  In order to complete a job process, every customer is asked to fill out a star rating, as well as say something that might help future customers make their decision about a tax and accounting professional. As a professional, a unique URL is available on your profile to send to your existing clients.  Those clients may also submit a review however they will be displayed as "other ratings".

If you forget your password, reset it by clicking the 'Forgot Password' link on the login page. If you forget your email address, try an alternate address you may have used during sign up. If you are still unable to login, please contact us at customerservice@prosado.com and we will assist you further.

Some e-mail providers like Yahoo! Mail, GMail and Hotmail sometimes move Prosado e-mails to your junk or spam mail folder so please check there. If you find Prosado e-mails there, we recommend you add Prosado to your Safe Senders List. If Prosado e-mails are not in your junk mail or spam folder please let us know so we can assist you further. A customer’s RFB will be open to bidding for 7 days from when the request is submitted. After the 7 day bidding period is over, the bids that were placed for the RFB will only be valid for the next 7 days. After 14 days from when the RFB was submitted, all bids will disappear & no longer be valid.

If you haven't received your payment for a job you've completed, make sure that your banking information is filled in completely.  If we don't have all of your correct banking info, we aren't able to forward your fee to you.

In the unlikely event that an issue arises between you and a customer that prevents you from working together, please contact Prosado customer service via email and we will work to resolve it.  If a resolution is not possible and you absolutely cannot work with this customer, we will make other arrangements to find the customer a new tax preparer.

We don't think so.  Our research has shown that very often customers are willing to pay more for the right fit.  They will take into consideration your education level, experience and star rating.  Don't get hung up on being the lowest.  Simply bid an attractive price for both you and the customer.

Yes, all bids include state tax returns where applicable.
