Step 1 - Register

With a few easy steps you can register with Prosado: name, email & password are all that's required. When you're ready to submit a Request For Bid (RFB), complete your personal profile with all of the tax documents you have (no personal information) and all of your preferences regarding a Tax Preparer.

Step 2 - Consider

Once you have submitted an RFB, you'll have a personal dashboard where you can monitor all the bids you receive to complete your tax return. Your RFB will remain active for 7 days. All bids will remain valid for another 7 days after the bidding phase ends so you can take your time making your decision. Of course if you're in a rush and you need to have your taxes prepared sooner, you may accept a bid at any time during the process.

Keep in mind, bids may go lower the longer you leave your RFB active but remember that Prosado is not about the lowest bid...it's about the best bid for you. The demographics of each of the Tax Preparers who have bid, as well as their star ratings from past Prosado customers will help you make your decision. For your peace of mind...all tax preparers registered on Prosado.com have an IRS issued PTIN. (See FAQs to see why this is important)

Check your dashboard often to see all the bids you receive. You can choose a Tax Preparer with confidence since there is a 2 day (4 day for any Tax Preparer that does not yet have a Prosado star rating) money back cancellation policy*.

Step 3 - Connect

Find Your Tax Preparer

Choose the best bid for you. Once you have accepted a bid, Prosado will email both you and your chosen preparer all contact information. At this point, you can interview your preparer and/or further research them online. With the comfort of a private transaction, you make all arrangements with your tax preparer to complete your tax return.

Prosado has no involvement with any of your confidential papers or the actual preparation of your tax return, keeping the transaction safe & secure.

If after you have been in contact with the Tax Preparer you chose, you are not comfortable and you've changed your mind, you can cancel your job. You will receive your money back minus a $15 cancellation fee.

Step 4 - Safe Pay

When you accept a bid, the fee is charged. Prosado will hold the funds until both you and the Tax Preparer mark the job complete, at which time Prosado will release the fee to the Tax Preparer. This gives you the security of knowing that the Tax Preparer has met all obligations.

Plus, if after accepting a bid, you change your mind about the Tax Preparer you chose within 2 days of accepting the bid or 4 days for any "unrated" Tax Preparer, you can cancel your bid.
